I moved to washers to get rid of the lip so they would feel more grounded. I am always curios about people's approaches. One of the great thing about our hobby.Lead Addicthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08643491376746930583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4353993238228420112.post-57452476112563470192013-01-24T12:00:08.004-06:002013-01-24T12:00:08.004-06:00Very nice and poetic ! I like each piece slightly "set away" from the table using that base.

On occasion, I'll paint the lip of the base brown to "simulate" mud/dirt if only to kill the monotony of the black.

I've also been gaming with the raised bases for so long that I don't notice them during play.

My next batch of samurai, however, will be based on 40mm bases from Proxie Models. These bases have a much lower profile, so it'll be interesting for myself if I notice the difference, and if I have any preferences toward the new bases (which I'm already leaning toward for other reasons than profile).Evilcartoonisthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06601323279665213451noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4353993238228420112.post-67362905644132042612013-01-24T10:28:10.591-06:002013-01-24T10:28:10.591-06:00Very nice... I really should get back to my 28mm samurai one of these days.

The only issue I have (general comment)is a lot of people, yourself included, like the black edge on their bases. Whether it's new or old school bases, that black line is there. To me it's distracting, and makes my wilful 'suspension of disbelief' harder. So I would be curious to hear why you like this technique.(I can think of several). Just curiousLead Addicthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08643491376746930583noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4353993238228420112.post-27025205850372878802013-01-24T02:25:29.696-06:002013-01-24T02:25:29.696-06:00simple but good! with the samourai: it's excel...simple but good! with the samourai: it's excellent ! good job!Sam Wisehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12492249817048127312noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4353993238228420112.post-43754638371089542432013-01-24T01:31:06.131-06:002013-01-24T01:31:06.131-06:00Thats is pure awesome its a beauty.Thats is pure awesome its a beauty.Simon Quinton https://www.blogger.com/profile/18001946192905517180noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4353993238228420112.post-81169601882282318352013-01-24T01:06:53.549-06:002013-01-24T01:06:53.549-06:00Fantastic looking work, very nice!
