gatling gun is coming along

The gatling is almost done. Need to prime and paint it. I chose a model 1865 1-inch caliber because it was mounted on a regular artillery carriage and only had six barrels. The chamber casing is longer than an actual gatling; this is so because I created the casing by sawing a 12-pound Napolean gun barrel at the mountings. I could have sawed it shorter and created new mountings, but I wanted to get the gun finished. The barrels also are longer, but I did this simply to make the gun more imposing in the game for which it was built.

Rotating death!

Having forrayed into the world of 40mm old west figures, I wanted a gtaling gun, but no one makes one. So I bought a civil war gun carriage from Sash and Saber and have embarked on scratch-building my own gatling. I opted for the early 1862 1-inch caliber model: It was mounted on a regular gun carriage and only has six barrels (giving me a chance at this challenging project.)

Assay office

This here is my assay office (not yet with painted signage.) It took about 9 hours to complete. The interior has yet to be furnished (with a counter, desk, stove, chairs, shelving and assay equipment and chemicals. The building and boardwalk also will be based for strength.

40mm figures

Just got a bunch of these in. Here's a comparison of a 40mm figure next to a 28mm.
